Mark Thompson is a managing partner with Atlanta Capital Group. Mark’s practice has a concentration in the affluent business-owner, widow, and retiree markets.
He has extensive experience in the areas of investment management, retirement, estate, long term care, and succession planning. He has completed the education requirements for the Certified Financial Planner practitioner designation and has attained the registered financial consultant and certified fund specialist designations.
Mark is from West Virginia and spent five years of his childhood living in Ghana, Africa. Prior to his career in the financial services industry, Mark spent nine years in sales and marketing for a large multi-national manufacturing corporation.
Mark has served on the Advisory Board of Inner City Atlanta Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He is the proud father of three children: daughter Natalie and sons Trevor and Logan. The family attends Dunwoody United Methodist Church. He also enjoys participating in the children’s sporting activities and playing tennis.
