Jeff Shaver is founding principal partner of Atlanta Capital Group and leads the private client division providing investment consulting and comprehensive wealth management for the firm’s high net-worth families and individuals. Under Jeff’s leadership, the firm has grown to over $1.5 billion in assets under management and has been honored as one of the Top 25 Money Managers in Atlanta two years in a row by Atlanta Business Chronicle.
Jeff serves on Atlanta Capital Group’s investment committee and develops the long-term vision, policy, and strategy. Jeff has been quoted in national publications including Registered Rep. and Financial Planning and has been featured in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Atlanta Capital Group has also been named Best Place to Work by Atlanta Business Chronicle.
Jeff specializes in investment management and estate preparation with an approach that is consumer-oriented and global in focus. He has provided investment and financial advisory services to individuals and companies across the nation.
Jeff started his career in the financial services industry in 1996. After several successful years and numerous awards from A. G. Edwards, Jeff joined regional brokerage firm Morgan Keegan and Co., where he rose to first vice president. He formed Atlanta Capital Group with David Millican and Jody Young in 2002. Since that time the firm has either merged with or acquired more than a dozen similar firms with a client retention rate of more than 90 percent, a testament to Jeff’s hands-on approach to client services.
Jeff and his wife Jeannie have three children, sons Sennett and Preston and daughter Harper. The family attends Christ the King church. Away from the office, Jeff enjoys attending his children’s sporting events and an occasional day on the links.
